Motors for driving auxiliary mechanisms of mainline electric locomotives The ANE225L4 three-phase asynchronous motor with a short-circuited rotor is designed to drive fans and compressors installed on mainline electric locomotives. The motor can also be used as a phase splitter - converter of single-phase current to three-phase. The motor is powered from a single-phase network with a rated voltage of 380 V via a single-phase current converter to a three-phase phase splitter or by a capacitor circuit. The supply voltage in the system can vary from 280 V to 470 V, while the phase voltage asymmetry can reach 10% at maximum voltage and 5% at minimum.
